Leader Behind the Leader!
Behind every great leader is a great leader! Nobody has successes on their own. Whether it is a teacher, mentor, parent, pastor or someone else in a leadership role, somebody made an impact on them. It is no different concerning the greatest leaders of the Bible. In Joshua’s case, he had a Moses who followed and gleaned from his anointing and knowledge. With all of the disciples, they had Jesus who they spent time with consistently over a three-year period. In order to become a great leader, you must first be a follower and having spiritual fathers or mothers in the faith who can counsel, instruct and lead by example makes all of the difference!
Proverbs 11:14 says, “Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.” Someone not surrounded by a core leadership can easily become prideful and fall, but someone who is humble and willing to listen and receive advice can grow and mature in leadership. No matter who you are or what you do, you always have something to learn. Somebody has been there, done that or faced a similar situation, and gleaning from their example can be enough to avoid making mistakes and instead make the right choices. Be surrounded by people who are better at it than you and you will be a tremendous leader!
